Tour Plan
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel north towards Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy scenic views of Kenya’s central highlands as the landscape gradually changes into the beautiful semi-arid terrain of northern Kenya. Arrive at your accommodation in time for lunch before an afternoon game drive, offering your first opportunity to discover Samburu’s distinctive wildlife.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a full day exploring Samburu through morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the famous northern species, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx. Explore areas around the Ewaso Nyiro River, where elephants and other animals gather. Return to your lodge between activities for meals and relaxation.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel south towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy the changing scenery as you leave northern Kenya’s rugged landscapes and approach the Great Rift Valley. This is a substantial road journey, with suitable refreshment stops along the way. Arrive at your accommodation later in the day, settle in, and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park
Begin the day with breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Return for lunch and relaxation before enjoying another afternoon excursion through the park’s beautiful landscapes.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and travel towards the Maasai Mara through scenic countryside and traditional rural settlements. Explore the magnificent plains and look for lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and other wildlife that make the reserve famous.

Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy a full day discovering the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Explore different sections of the reserve and observe its incredible wildlife diversity, including the Big Five. During migration season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeests and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your adventure before continuing your exploration of the reserve.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Nairobi, enjoying the final views of the Maasai Mara’s spectacular landscapes. Arrive in Nairobi later in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel or airport, bringing your seven-day Kenyan wildlife adventure to an end.
